1 3/4 cups water
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 3/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/3 cups uncooked instant rice
1 1/2 cups water, divided
1 egg
4/9 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon paprika
In a saucepan, combine the water, olive oil, salt, rice, 1 1/2 cups water and egg. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, Italian seasoning and white sugar.
Pour mixture into 9x13-inch baking dish and arrange bottom sides with aluminum foil.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until rice is tender. Serve warm or cold.
