Green Bean Wedges Recipe

Ingredients

1 head cabbage

1 onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried chives

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried sage

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 cup water

2 tablespoons maraschino cherries, drained

Directions

Put cabbage, onion, green pepper, butter, tomato paste, ginger, garlic powder, oregano, chives, flour, salt and basil in slow cooker. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Remove from crock. Mash 1 cup of the potato starch into a small saucepan. Stir into cabbage mixture.

Reduce cooking time by one hour if done the following day: Mix maraschino cherry halves and 1 cup of potatoes into slow cooker.

Cook cabbage mixture on low for 6 hours. Stir chicken into cabbage mixture with 3 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons salt and continue cooking on low for 6 to 7 hours. Serve with cherry flan and cherries.
