I have added a package of chopped pecans, along with a couple of tablespoons of fine sea salt. I've also used dried cranberries and dried white grapes. This is definitely not cookie dough. It's got a gritty texture to it. I'd call it French toast. I imagine it was baked in liners. I've never made French toast before, but this recipe seems promising.
