1/2 pound bacon, chopped
1/2 pound lean ham, diced
1 teaspoon melted butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried sage
1/4 cup chopped serrano pepper
Season the bacon with salt and pepper.
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix the bacon grease, butter, salt, pepper, sage, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, mustard, paprika, basil, serrano pepper and apple cider vinegar. Pour over pork in skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot or cold.
