1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cups chopped tomatoes
1 (14 ounce) can garbanzo beans
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
3 tablespoons dried basil (optional)
4 ounces spaghetti sauce
salt and pepper to taste
In a medium saucepan, combine lean ground beef, onion, tomatoes, garbanzo beans, oil, tomato paste, oregano, basil, oregano and basil. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
To make sauce, combine spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper in large bowl. Add meat mixture, tomatoes, pasta and sear for 5 to 10 minutes.
I left a trail of cracked blackened fish near the catch, this is the best I could find. It did not include the spring onions but it is pretty close. I would recommend using a coarse salt like Sandy Salt instead of just plain old salt.
