1 1/2 pounds wild cherry tomatoes
1/2 pound wild cherry tomatoes
1/2 pound cornered red bell peppers
1/4 pound small onion
1 cup vinegar
1/2 gallon lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 quarts butterflied orange juice concentrate
2 (10 ounce) bags frozen mixed berries
4 cups white sugar
Place diced tomatoes in a large pot with water to cover and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low or simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in tomatoes, bell peppers, onion, vinegar, lemon-lime soda and butterflied orange juice concentrate. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally upon stirring. Cook over medium-low heat for 5 hours.
Meanwhile, pour in lemon-lime-based carbonated beverage and mix vigorously. Keep mixture warm. Chill mixture in refrigerator.
When tomatoes are cooked, stir in mixed berries and sugar. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring occasionally until strawberries are tender. Reduce heat to low and enable tomatoes to begin to brown.
