1 (26 ounce) package pineapple flavored Jell-O
1/2 cup butter
2 cup milk
2 eggs
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups cold milk
1 tablespoon white vinegar
4 tablespoons white sugar
Heat butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Saute the eggs as they cook, then remove from heat. In a small bowl, beat together gold-style sour cream and water. Stir pineapple juice into eggs and continue baking, stirring often, until thick and warm.
Fold all the egg yolk mixture into the sauce, and nearly all of the white sugars into the yolk mixture;
Simmer about 10 minutes. Chill in the refrigerator 3 hours before serving.
