1 (30 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1/2 tablespoon butter
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes and cans
8 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
1 teaspoon dried thyme
salt and pepper to taste
In a medium saucepan, combine kidney beans, 1/2 tablespoon butter and beef or sausage with 1 teaspoon garlic and 1/2 teaspoon garlic. Cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 3 hours.
Add tomato paste, basil, oregano, basil, oregano, rosemary, sage, marjoram, marjoram, thyme, salt and pepper. Mix well and cook, stirring occasionally, for 2 more hours.
