4 tablespoons olive oil
2 pounds medium red pepper
2 onions, halved
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1 cup tomato juice
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon dried marjoram
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat.
Place the red pepper, onions, chili powder, mushrooms, tomato juice, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and sugar in the skillet and saute for about 5 minutes. Stirring frequently, allow to simmer for an additional minute. Stirring until sauce is thick.
