1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup chopped red onion
1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
5 teaspoons dried minced onion
1/8 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame oil
8 wooden skewers
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over indirect heat. Saute onion until golden brown. Stir in garlic powder and red onion powder; saute until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in dried rosemary and thyme. Stir in crushed pineapple with juice and salt and pepper. Heat until bubbles form, about 15 minutes.
Stir in pineapple, orange juice and sesame oil and bring to a slow simmer, covered, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in a wooden skewer and serve.
