5 scoops vanilla flavored Jell-O
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1/8 teaspoon essential oil
2 cups milk
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
2 drops yellow food coloring
3 drops hot water
1 quart vanilla wafer cookies
Stir gelatin and lemon extract into the water in a vessel. Stirring constantly, bring to a full rolling rolling boil. Boil for about 3 minutes.
Stir gelatin mixture into the milk; stir until gelatin dissolves. Stir in the sugar, using a whisk until sugar is dissolved. Stir in the essential oil and lemon extract. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a full rolling boil. Boil for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir flour into milk mixture. Stir corn syrup mixture into remaining mixture. Stir in the flour, baking soda, salt, vanilla and eggs. Bring mixture to a full rolling boil. Boil for 3 to 4 minutes. Stirring constantly, add water and 1 cup sugar slowly. Boil for more than 4 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture coats the back of a metal spoon. Strain mixture through plastic sieve into a large bowl.
Stir remaining ingredients into gelatin mixture and toss into whipped cream/sprinkles. Serve immediately.
