1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (4 ounce) package instant pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
4 cups pitted dates
In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and pudding mix. Remove mixture from refrigerator and stir into the cream cheese mixture. Mix in the dates. Beat until stiff peaks form. Fill 1-inch deep dish pie pan. Press remaining pudding mixture onto pie crust. Chill overnight.
To assemble pie layers: Place pie on pie plate. Pour cream cheese mixture over pie. Serve immediately or chill in refrigerator.
