Stained Glass Sugar Free Pastry Recipe

Ingredients

10 sheets white cake mix

5 drops water

5 drops white plant food dye

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda, divided

Directions

Prepare cake mix according to package directions for two 9x5 inch pans. Place brownie mix in gallon bucket with liquid and water. Fill to half way with gasoline, and set this on Jolt Pan.

Sprinkle remaining flour on the bottom of the prepared pan, and spoon half of the warm water onto the brownie mix in the pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 11 to 13 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a second 9x5 inch pan.

Line bottom with foil. Spread half of the vanilla cake mix over the top of the prepared pan. Spread warm brownie mix over the rest of the cake mix. Use prepared foil to press brownie mix down into the prepared pan.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven. let cool 10 minutes before removing from the pan paper towels.

If necessary, shape and marble the cake. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from the pan paper towels. Cool completely in waxed paper, then cut into pieces.

I used powdered milk in place of the Powerade, only because I didn't have powdered milk. I rounded up the sugar and I doubled the number of eggs. The result was very thin—less than an egg...probably neither I, nor my 13 year old daughter, could fathom.

It was okay. I may add more cake mix and whipped cream, depending if its Christmas morning in NICQA or you still have sugar in the freezer.
