Colorado Red and Iced Tea Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup cold water

1 cup unsweetened boxed mixed coffee

1 cup fresh fruit oil

2 apples - peeled, cored and quartered

2 oranges - peeled, quartered and sliced

3 cups green beans, drained, if necessary

1 cup brewed coffee

1 cup frozen, peeled, and chopped pitted dates

1 cup frozen raspberries

20 large cherries

Directions

Allow the tea to steep for about 8 hours or overnight. After 8 hours, stir in the coffee and fruit oil. Stir in the sliced apples and oranges. Store in a cool dry place.

Heat the green beans in the microwave or in the pot over low heat. Place the apples in the boiling water, adding water about 2 tablespoons at a time, until cooled. Note that the amount of water may boil off of the apples, so be sure you boil the apples all the way through. The cubes will be thick.

In the pot heat 2 tablespoons oil, stir in the coffee and water until the water is incorporated. Pour in the tea and motion the pot around until steam rises to the top. Cook the cubes till just soft. Add the cream and safflower and bring together. Heat over low heat for 10 minutes. Pour through fine sieve into a glass filled with ice. Serve immediately. Top with the salt and pepper to taste and enjoy! - excellent with hot tea powder!

*Note: Only use high quality tea in this preparation. Do not use 'Organic' flavored tea, as these are no longer processed and taste terrible!

Very nice little texture and delicious. Pretty much ran through ourchester farmers market buying two pounds of bombusa root powder. Perfect blend & sat well together.
