1 (8 ounce) package dry rinsed chicken wrap, warmed
1 package frozen dinner roll, thawed and drained
2 (10 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (8 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup oil for frying
Rinse chicken and pat dry. Cut them into 1/2 inch strips.
Place them in a colander or dish and mash with water to get rid of any excess moisture. Drain the chicken pieces and let them dry.
Combine the chicken, peas, salt, pepper, ketchup and brown sugar in a large bowl. Finely chop the onion and cut into crumbs.
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium high heat. Saute the chicken pieces for about 2 minutes, or until lightly browned. Fry until golden and crispy. Remove chicken pieces and fry the other side.
Dip chicken pieces into the brown sugar gravy and set aside to cool. Remove chicken pieces and fry each piece of chicken pieces in oil in pan until golden and crispy. Serve with sauce on the side.
I used this recipe to make a wrap for chicken breast but it turned out great - crisp, crunch, gooey... what a treat! The only thing I did differently was to put the chicken in a foil pouch and then place the chicken in the fridge to let the flavors merge. When the chicken is fork tender it is ready to be wrapped in cheese and bread. YUM!
really good
