1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Stir together the flour, baking soda and distilled white vinegar. Cut the butter into the flour mixture. Mix in the brown sugar, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. Cookies should be at least 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
