6 eggs
2 teaspoons honey
1 tablespoon margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups bread flour
3 cups packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Beat together eggs and honey. Heat margarine and sugar in a small saucepan or pan over low heat. Add flour, 1/4 cup at a time, until ingredients are covered. Turn from side to side so each flour layer appears to roll into a long cylinder. Sprinkle brown sugar over the whole surface of the bread, covering completely. Remove center seam of bread and prick ends with fork.
Place on ungreased baking sheet and let rise in a roasting pan. Bake for 50 minutes in preheated oven. Arrange strawberries on top. Reserve 1/4 cup brown sugar for serving baste. Serve slices warm and sliced lightly marinated.
