Good flavor. I used the extra sauce over the rice and legumes for soups. Other than that, it was tidy and spoon-friendly but I didn't alter the recipe. I used dried minced onion, but neither the sausage nor the bonito flakes. I used a little more than 1 1/2 tsp of salt while cooking the beans, which were a little overdone. But honestly, I could have done without the vinegar, it really mellowed the cilantro leaves and made it's own delicate tasting flavor. But honestly, I didn't think it had any zing to it. It was just loose and smooth. Maybe next time I will add another can of mushroom soup.
