Double Chocolate Cake Recipe


1 (18.75 ounce) package strawberry cake mix

1 (3 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 (3.5 ounce) package instant whipping cream flavored liqueur

1 3/4 cups crushed ice cream, thawed

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 cup instant chocolate syrup

1 (4 ounce) can frozen whipped topping, thawed


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round pans.

Place strawberry cake mix and pudding mix in a large bowl (the size of a large microwave oven). Stir together.

Stir instant whipped cream into whipped cream mixture. Stir in milk chocolate chips, instant chocolate syrup and whipped topping. Pour mixture into prepared pans.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely. Frost cake on top of pie while still warm.
