1 1/4 cups water
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 1/2 pounds cow whole, 1 cup dry mix
2 bulbs garlic, peeled
Place water, brown sugar, cornstarch and grated nutmeg in a slow cooker, stirring constantly. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or Low 20 for 8 to 10 hours. Add salt and cinnamon. Increase oven temperature to High and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to Low, stir frequently and simmer.
