1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons butter, softened
2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
6 eggs
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 (7 ounce) can evaporated milk
1/4 cup pecans
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium saucepan, heat brown sugar, butter or margarine, pecans, egg whites and chocolate together over medium heat. Cool, remove from heat and stir in milk. Spread mixture into baked pie crust.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 90 minutes, or until internal temperature of pie reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
