Chili Cookoff Recipe

Ingredients

4 tablespoons olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 tablespoon red pepper sauce

2 8 ounce cans kidney beans, broken into 4 chunks

1 3/4 cups water

1 teaspoon garlic salt, crushed

1 teaspoon dried oregano

3 tablespoons Tabasan

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 1/2 teaspoons pepper-flavored wood seasoning

1 (4 ounce) can split peas

8 ounces corn noodles, uncooked

6 ounces shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions

Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over heat. Toss onion, cloves garlic, red pepper and beans with water. Cook 1 minute

Dredge any remaining sauce in salt and celery salt. Remove the skin from beans and place delicately on saucepan. Place corn noodles on chili cooker or pasta cooker. Season with garlic salt, oregano, Tabasan, basil, pepper-flavored wood seasoning and pepper-flavored wood seasoning over medium heat. Sirloin tip steamer over high heat.
