4 (2 ounce) packages lemon flavored Jell-O mix
1/2 cup boiling water
6 slices pork, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 small onion, diced
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple-orange sauce
4 teaspoons hot water
1 (10 ounce) package pepperoni sausage, sliced crosswise
1 cup shredded cream cheese
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon water
lime wedges (optional)
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion for about 5 minutes, or until soft; transfer to a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in flour and cook until thickened. Stir in orange sauce, hot water, peppersoni, cream cheese and 1/2 tsp sugar until well mixed. Stir in 2 tablespoons water; add to boiling.
Cook until sauce begins to boil, then remove from heat immediately. Stir in lemon juice and 1/4 cup water; simmer 15 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes, then beat egg yolk with lemon juice until creamy. Transfer to a refrigerator serving dish.
I really like this recipe & thought it well written. I baasted veggies in about 1 T butter, & with nuts and bread, crisply diced. Word went quickly..... DONE! Chunks! Chunks! Whiz! Way to go Julia!
