Miranda's Poached Ham Recipe

Ingredients

4 tablespoons butter

3 (4 ounce) cans peeled and diced ham

1 onion, chopped

8 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced

3 tablespoons milk

1 egg

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

2 tablespoons dried marjoram

2 tablespoons dried sage

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon dried sage

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, grease a 10x15 inch jelly-roll pan.

In a medium bowl, mix butter, ham, onion, mushrooms, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, olive oil, crushed red pepper flakes, oregano, basil, rosemary, marjoram, sage and thyme. Mix thoroughly. Spread over the ham mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour in the preheated oven. Remove from oven and allow to cool.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Insert metal spoon into pie crust and roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out desired shape of pie and cut to desired thickness. Place inside prepared pie crust.

Bake in preheated oven for an additional 30 to 45 minutes. Remove foil and keep warm until serving.
