1 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup cranberries
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, egg, sugar, chocolate syrup, salt, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in cranberries when ready to decrease sweetness slightly. Cover and refrigerate dough for at least 2 hours.
Heat oven to 375 degreesF.
Roll dough and cut into 1 inch squares. Place cookies 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
