East Bay Cornbread Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

2 eggs

1/2 cup mayonnaise

3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

1 cup chopped onion

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 loaf French bread, cut in 1 inch cubes

Directions

In a medium bowl, beat together butter, eggs, mayonnaise, cream cheese and onion. Stir in pepper, and let stand for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle fritchettes evenly over cream cheese mixture. Chill bread cubes in refrigerator.

Remove fritchettes from refrigerator. Serve warm bread with cream cheese and onions.

Great recipe and it could be a little better. I added garlic powder, which worked well. I also used olive oil and said it was good. I could see adding fresh garlic powder to give it a little more flavor.
