3 1/4 fluid ounces lemon-lime flavored J-Protein powder
4 teaspoons instant espresso powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
salt to taste
3 cups white sugar
1/4 cup water
6 drops hot water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, stir together the gelatin and espresso powder. Gradually stir in salt and salt to taste and pour into prepared pan.
In a medium bowl, combine white sugar, 1/4 cup water, and hot water. Mix until smooth with a fork or wire whisk. Spread about one third of the gelatin mixture into the bottom of the pan. Return pan to oven, and bake for 45 minutes, until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely before cracking pastry shell. Transfer to a wire rack to cool briefly before slicing.
