Anise Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe


1 cup butter, softened

2 cups brown sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoons milk

1/8 cup vegetable oil

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 teaspoon anise oil

2 tablespoons lemon zest


Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Beat in the milk, oil, brown sugar, lemon juice, anise oil and lemon zest; mix thoroughly. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Ok so I didn't follow the recipe exactly... I didn't use almonds, I used whole cashews. There was an easier way to do this though... use Bay rum. It comes out much, MUCH better with the coffee!
