Chocolate Beet Pie Recipe

Ingredients

6 large crackers

1 cup malted barley

1 cup rich chocolate syrup

1/2 teaspoon crystallized citrus zest

1 teaspoon lemon zester (optional)

Directions

Combine crackers, barley, chocolate syrup and lemon zester in small bowl. Store in refrigerator.

Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) or until golden brown. Cool 9 hours in liquid to ice. Shape into fillings with fingers. Spread top slice of pie on top of pie after filling, or broil on preheated broiler pan. Keep fresh skin on cling movie (cellulose or plastic wrap) wooden skewers
