1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup whole cloves
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 cups uncooked white rice
1/3 cup spaghetti sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
In a saucepan, combine butter, cloves, salt, pepper, rice, sauce and chicken. Remove from heat. Sprinkle chicken with thyme and salt and pepper over all. Cover dish and refrigerate.
Bake in preheated oven for 40 minutes. Flip chicken and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.
While chicken is baking, heat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C), and sprinkle with thyme and salt and pepper. Bake 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.
Remove chicken from oven and sprinkle with thyme and pepper. Turn and serve hot or cold.
