1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 pound cheese, cubed
1/4 cup minced onion
1 (4 ounce) can whole milk
1 (4 ounce) can cottage cheese, divided
1/2 pound extra-lean ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/2 pound of shredded cheese until soft peaks form. Mix in onion, milk, cottage cheese and 1/2 pound of beef. Mix in garlic and Worcestershire sauce.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cream cheese filling. Spread the remaining 2/3 cup of cream cheese mixture over cream cheese filling. Place remaining 1 1/4 cup of beef in the center of the prepared baking dish. Spread the remaining 1/2 cup of cream cheese filling over cream cheese filling. Place remaining 1/2 cup of beef on top of cream cheese filling.
Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
