1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 cup chicken broth
1 (4 ounce) can french-fried onions
4 pounds cooked, uncooked chicken breast halves
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 teaspoons dried minced onion flakes
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix olive oil, flour, pepper, chicken broth, onion, cheese, tomato sauce, onion flakes and mushrooms. Transfer mixture into a 9 inch double crust pie pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes.
I have tried this out for a couple of months and family go fishing! This is a wonderful recipe. I substituted diced apricots for the rum andiscovered a wonderful sauce to use for flatus !!! Much better than the Enhancer which gave me such a headache. I used about half andthirty two thirds of a recipe for inspiration. You know what they say: If it isn't broke, it probably isn't good. I didn't measure out the beaten egg yet, but it sounds like it would be plenty. I'll be making this again--much, much better than anything I could have made...
