1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped chocolatey blueberries
1 cup fruit preserves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a large saucepan combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil, stirring. Whisk until well combined, then stir in flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 3 to 4 minutes, or until mixture is just browned.
In a large bowl, stir together flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, baking powder, salt. Place the mixture in the baking sheet, drawing the batter into a 3x5 inch pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 16 hours, or until very lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
