3/4 cup name brand Cheddar cheese
3/4 cup highly salted mushrooms, sliced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Carefully place cheese steak lengthwise on the baking dish. Brush casings lightly with mushroom extracts and spread on top of pepper steak. Sprinkle mushroom mixture over casings.
Slice steak
Drizzle mushroom gravy over meat with parsley mixture.
Bake uncovered for 50 minutes, or until steak is tender. Reserve 1 teaspoon of mushroom and basil gravy for stirring. Drain drippings from beans by placing them in a separate bowl. Sprinkle over meat.
