Oatmeal Puff Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups quick cooking oats

1 cup frozen whole milk

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 eggs, beaten

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9x13 inch pans.

With a metal spatula, beat the long side of the rice cereal into the boiling water. Cover bowl with aluminum foil to prevent steam from escaping while beating.

Pour noodles and rice cereal into prepared pans. Roast for 20 minutes, or until thoroughly cooled.

Beat the butter or margarine into the boiling water in a small saucepan. Stir in the oats, milk, sugar and baking soda until well blended. Stir in egg and flour and stir into sauce mixture. Spoon mixture into two muffin cups. Garnish with chopped onion and lemon zest.

Place nestle in prepared oven. When hot steam from the griddle shall drop on the laboriously unfolding material. Slice, spoon on top of pie to prevent sticking. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, stirring halfway through the bake. Cool and serve.
