Tipsy Gingerbread Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar

1 cup beer

2 eggs

2 teaspoons ground ginger

2 teaspoons ground allspice

1 1/2 cups bread flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, beer, eggs, ginger, and allspice. Stir well and pour into prepared pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool.

To make the frosting combine the flour, baking powder, ginger, and baking soda. stir all together using an electric mixer on high speed until smooth. Keep in refrigerator for up to several days.
