Chocolate Shortbread Frosting Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 egg

1 cup milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, oil and egg; whisk until smooth. Remove from heat; cover and refrigerate additional time to allow sugar to cool.

Stir milk and vanilla into flour mixture until well blended and mix until well mixed. Gradually blend flour, baking powder and baking soda into egg mixture; gradually stirring until well blended. Return mixture to pan, stirring constantly, and continue to cook and stir until smooth. Cool mixture and pour into portions of cool cake serving dish. Cover and refrigerate remaining time.
