1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon dried minced onion peel
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried basil scattered flowers (optional)
1 tablespoon honey
In a saucepan over low heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, chili powder, dried basil, rosemary, basil, and honey. Bring to a slow boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in honey or honey and chili powder mixture. Turn to coat.
Cook and stir 10 minutes to 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Pour sauce over chili mixture and serve.
