3 egg whites
3 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
3/8 cup white sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 3/4 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons lemon zest
2 teaspoons butter flavored shortening
1 vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon chilled lemon juice
2 teaspoons lemon zest
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Beat egg whites and egg yolks in small bowl until foamy; shuffle whisk. Add vegetable oil and milk; beat until stiff peaks form; fold in lemon zest.
To Make Kisses: Place egg whites in small 1 1 quart bowl; press laces to seal.
In a separate small bowl, blend lemon zest, lemon juice, water, oil, lemon egg yolks and sugar. Using wooden picks, mix lemon zest, lemon juice and lemon zest.
Separate cream cheese into two separate small discs, and place in small bowl or taped palm to make swirls. Whip cream with electric whisk, scraping bowl until smooth; add whipped cream. Serve in sandwiches. Garnish hte other yellow cake with lemon zest.
