1 large onion, chopped
2 large carrots, chopped
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
4 tablespoons dried celery salt
1/4 cup cider vinegar
3 cups water, or as needed
In a large skillet, add the onion and carrots. Stir often, and let excess water evaporate. When veggies are tender you may want to add the tomato paste and celery salt, if desired.
When vegetables are tender stir in the tomato paste, vinegar and water. Simmer over medium heat, stirring often, until vegetables are tender. Toss often to prevent sticking.
A few tablespoons of this flavorful sauce may make your jaws drop, but give it a try and see if you like it.
