1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 cup orange maraschino cherry juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons vodka
1 dash bourbon
In a medium saucepan, combine butter, sugar, lemon juice, milk, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat. Add orange maraschino juice, lemon zest, lemon zest, orange maraschino cherry juice, orange maraschino cherry juice, and lemon juice; stir all together. Pour into 4 or 5 storage jars and chill in the refrigerator.
When ready to serve, place lidded jars in lightly greased metal glasses. Fill jars with maraschino cherry cherry juice, orange maraschino cherry juice, lemon juice, vodka, and bourbon. Pour mixture into glasses and serve.
I didn't have honey, so I used 2 tbsp. of honey instead. I love fruity desserts! This was light and airy, and didn't cling.
