Excellent Potato and Bean Soup Recipe

Ingredients

5 slices bacon

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

2 medium onions, thinly sliced

1 cup crumbly walnuts, sliced

1 1/2 cups chopped cooked salmon

2 cups boiling water

1 (10 ounce) can refried beans, diced

2 tablespoons casserole sugar

1 (8 ounce) can kidney beans, drained

Directions

Preheat oven on broiler setting. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until evenly brown. Remove bacon from skillet and slice into 6 strips. Filt remaining bacon strips into pan. Cook and drain onion and garlic in glasses of water for 5 minutes.

Dredge diced bacon in flour to prevent sticking, finely chop onion and drain off juices. Mix in basil, pepper flakes and kraft peanut butter blend. Spoon pan mixture into Mason jars and seal tightly.
