1 teaspoon vegetable oil
4 large carrots, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
1 medium onion, peeled and sliced
3 large potatoes - peeled
3 medium carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons salt
4 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Saute carrots, onions and potatoes for about 5 minutes; drain.
Stir in salt, pepper, oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in sesame seeds, sugar, sesame seeds and mustard powder. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes.
