1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 tablespoons hot mustard
3/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef stock
1 teaspoon black pepper
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium low heat. Saute onions and garlic until golden brown, continue to saute until golden brown
Add another tablespoon of oil, browning well. Stir in mustard and Worcestershire sauce, whisking until well blended. Add lemon juice, white sugar, Worcestershire sauce, beef stock, black pepper and onion. Bring to a slow simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, scraping sides of pan. Serve over hot cooked hamburgers.
