1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 small orange, quartered
1/2 cup grated hazelnuts
1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
Melt butter in a large bowl. Add brown sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, vanilla and orange zest; beat until light in color. Add orange zest and hazelnuts. Mix thoroughly. Chill until firm, then cut into 2-inch squares. Store squares in airtight container in refrigerator, 2 hours.
