1 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie crumb crust
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup margarine, melted
In a large saucepan, mix milk, sugar, vanilla, chocolate, water and almond extract; whisk until smooth. Place saucepan in microwave or in a saucepan of water, to keep cake cool.
In a medium bowl, gradually pour chocolate syrup over cake while stirring constantly. Pour over cake while stirring constantly. Let cake cool completely before filling. Frost with buttercream or whipped cream, or whip until smooth and fluffy using toothpicks.
