2 teaspoons butter or margarine
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 eggs
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
Place eggs and milk in a large bowl. Stir in the butter mixture and yeast; beat to incorporating. Cover and let stand in a warm place overnight.
Prepare the bread by mixing lemon zest, granulated sugar and whites of baking soda; pour mixture into a shallow dish or bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
Slice the bread into six portions and pop them into thin muffin cups. Serve at room temperature.
