Bacon Wrapped In Ham's Meat
2 pounds pork bacon, sliced
1 onion, sliced
4 thick slices (3 teaspoons each) cheese
1 (16 ounce) can spaghetti sauce
1 cup bottled Italian-style tomato juice
1 large tomato sauce
Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Arrange bacon slices on a platter, and drizzle with garlic salt and sliced onions. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator 1 hour, or overnight.
Lightly oil skillet. Cook bacon slices 1 to 2 minutes, turning once. Sprinkle slices with cheese, and spoon with tomato sauce. Saute 1 minute, until browned. Arrange tomato slices on top of slices of bacon, and spoon with tomato sauce. Cover, and refrigerate until acidic, at least 4 hours. Do not defrost.
It stayed put nicely and the chicken was tender- my new favorite way to cook it!
