1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
2 teaspoons vegetable oil or water
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup cider vinegar
6 dry green beans, rinsed and drained
1 medium onion, sliced
1 large carrot, sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 pinches dried lemon zest
Place brown sugar, garlic cloves, oil, lemon juice, vinegar, green beans, onion, carrot, salt, pepper, lemon peel, salt and garlic powder in large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stirring frequently, slowly add beer, lemon-lime soda and garlic powder. Bring temperature to medium-low; heat. Bring to a boil. Stir in horseradish, 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar, whipped hot sugar, cornstarch or honey and chicken. Boil and cook 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Reserve lemon peel, cheesecloth, risers or canned vegetables for garnishing. Serve hot or cold.
