1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 (7 ounce) package cream cheese
2 eggs
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Place the butter or margarine in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Remove from heat and pour the cream cheese in large bowl, stirring constantly to coat with cream cheese mixture. Beat until smooth; add eggs, lemon juice and milk. Beat until fully incorporated. Pour egg mixture into cream cheese mixture and mix well. Shape mixture into a single loaf. Divide and form into 4 squares. Place one corner of each square onto each cookie sheet. Roll cookie squares into 1/2 inch in diameter balls. Place 1 lemon wedge on each square.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until bubbly and golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely before serving.
